Skills

Proficient in the use of Mac OS X, Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003-2007, CorelDraw 12, Adobe Creative Suite through CS5.

Some experience in the use of Windows 7, Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8 and Flash 8.

Digital and traditional design experience, including three semesters of printmaking, one semester of illustration and one semester of black and white photography. Also have had personal experience with digital photography and the handling of Nikon DSLRs.

Capable of reading near fluently in Spanish and working on improving a basic oral and written proficiency.

Position: Sales Associate/Shift Supervisor
Responsibilities: Customer service and assistance, supervision of associates on staff, cutting and measuring of fabrics and trims for purchase, cashiering, recovery and facing of store displays, and general maintenance

Minuteman Press Westchase (August 2009 - November 2010)
Position: Graphic Designer/Typesetter
Responsibilities: Customer service, graphic design for printed materials, typesetting of already-established designs in need of edits, digital press operation, ordering and acquiring stock/media for jobs, creation of poly-plates for use by the press operator in the off-set lithography press, creation of negatives for use by the press operator in creation of metal plates, operation of vinyl cutter/sign plotter and general office assistant (filing, answering the phone/email)

HEB (March 2004 - August 2009)
Position: Cashier and Floral Assistant
Responsibilities: Customer assistance, design and creation of floral and balloon arrangements, maintenance of coolers and shop, and ordering of supplies

Truman State University (Fall 2005 - Spring 2007, Fall 2008)
Position: Teaching assistant to Professor Pauls, instructor of design, sculpture and Modern Art
Responsibilities: Organization of digital files and slides, grading quizzes, and reading for grammar and style for student papers. Also created and organized lecture presentations, notes and outlines, and filed grade sheets and records for attendance, helped in documenting and organizing finished projects for Design I and II classes.
